YOUR PREPARATION FOR THE JOURNEY AHEAD

Tuition video Introduction: This video sets the scene for all the other videos posted here so it’s best to watch this one first.

Tuition video One:  My very first driving lesson. If you've never driven before and are nervous about what will happen here's a video to help explain what we will be trying to achieve to hopefully settle your nerves/excitement!

Tuition video Two:  This video goes through all the main car controls and how to use them. It's important to understand this so that you know what you are doing when you are on the move!

Tuition video Three:  On this video I go into greater detail on how to get yourself in the perfect position for driving before you drive off. Known as the Cockpit drill. It's the first thing you do when you get in your car and should only take about 30 seconds to complete.

Tuition video Four:   Basically a short video to remind you of the safety checks you should always carry out before you start the engine.

Tuition video Five:   A short video simply reminding you how to actually move off under control from stationary. This is just the basics concentrating on what your feet and hands do. Use of mirrors and signals are covered in the Prepare Observe Go video.

Tuition video Six:   A short video to explain a bit about steering and general road position. Also where to look while driving.

Tuition video Seven:  This very short video is a demonstration of the push-pull method of steering that you will need to adopt.

Tuition video Eight:   A short video to explain how you change gear up using the Feet Hands Feet method. Extra video on how to change down gears. Also check out video thirteen below for more information on ‘which’ gear to choose and ‘when’ to choose it.

Tuition video Nine:  Just a short video to help you judge how to pull in by the side of the road.

Tuition video Ten:   This video takes you through the sequence that you use every time you move off from stationary called Prepare Observe Go. Learn it well. Plus extra video on how to move off from behind a parked car know as moving off at an angle.

Tuition video Eleven:   This is an introduction to the sequence Mirror Signal Manoeuvre which you will be using in many situations while driving and on the move. Learn this one well and you will progress well.

Tuition video Twelve:   Introduction to dealing with T-Junctions. How to approach them when going from the main road into the side road and from the side road back onto the main road both turning left and right.

Tuition video Thirteen:   This video goes into a bit more detail about which gear to choose and when to choose it. This takes a lot of practice and you need to be good at judging the developing hazards ahead to get it right. We will talk about gears a lot on your lessons.

Tuition video Fourteen: Approaching crossroads is similar to approaching T-junction until you have to turn right. This video explain the problems when turning right and about the 'priority' rules of the road. i.e.. Who goes first! And what to do if someone flashes their lights or wave's you to go. (coming soon!)
