DRIVING LESSONS:

Lessons are given for 1, 1&1/2 or 2 hours duration and carefully designed for your level of ability and learning. Only one to one tuition is given and an outline of the lesson will be given at the start with feedback and advice offered at the end. In the early stages I will guide you fully, then as you progress I will prompt you as necessary and then finally let you drive independently. Continual assessment by means of short tests are a regular feature of the lessons to help me establish how you are progressing. This is good preparation for the practical driving test and will help establish your level of driving competence. Most of all it will help us decide when to apply for the test. A professional, relaxed and friendly approach is maintained at all times.

Based in Broadwater I cover a general area from Lancing to Ferring and Worthing to Findon. Other further out areas will, however, be considered (subject to a small extra charge) but a 2 hour lesson will be required since the best tuition area is in Worthing and it’s where the practical test is conducted.

WANT TO GET IT DONE QUICKLY? Intensive courses can be arranged subject to availability. These courses are designed to suit your ability and availability. Prices are as above and a 50% (non-refundable) deposit must paid two months in advance of the course.The balance to be paid in the week before the first session.  As a rough guide, if you are a total beginner a course of 40-50 hours is recommended, if you are partly trained then 30-40 hours and if you have good car control and competent at all the manoeuvres then 20-30 hours should do it.

Fully-intensive:   6 hours a day (3 sessions of 2 hours each with 1/2 hour break).

Semi-intensive:   4 hours a day (2 sessions of 2 hours per day with 1/2 hour break)

Fairly-intensive:  2 hours a day

If you are thinking of undertaking an intensive course then it’s a good idea to have already passed your Theory test or at least have one booked. If you pass the practical test in less lessons than booked you can claim a refund for lessons not used or put the excess towards Pass Plus. LESSONS FOR PARENTS!?  If you are planning on giving your son or daughter some private practice it’s worth considering having a lesson yourself first. This is not designed to ‘rip your driving apart’ but to give you an insight into what it is like learning to drive, taking the test, together with hints and tips on how best to plan your practice sessions. After all it’s probably over 20 years ago that you took the test and things have changed. The session, which can be conducted in your car, is for one hour and costs £30. RE-FRESHER COURSE:  It’s not uncommon to pass your test before going to Uni and then not drive for 3-4 years, then you get a job and think about driving again. The best advice then is to do a re-fresher course. You should only need a few lessons to get you up and running and confident behind the wheel. Payment for block bookings of 10 hours or more must be paid for in advance. Intensive course require a 50% deposit (non-refundable)

Payment for lessons can be made in cash, cheque (payable to Geoff Hayden) or internet banking (Banking details given when required)

Individual lessons must be paid for in advance or at the beginning of the lesson.

Cancellation policy

If you need to cancel an appointment then please give me at least 24 hours notice. A charge of £15 for late cancellation an hour lesson ( £20 for an hour and half lesson, £25 for a two hour lesson and £40 for Pass Plus) will be made. If i turn up for a lesson at the agreed address and you are not there, the full lesson price will be charged.
